Isleworth 390
Please see below pictures and videos from the 390 Parades we have taken part in as a school.
The 390 project commemorates each of the 390 individuals of Isleworth who died serving in WW1.
Isleworth Town Primary School is proud to be one of the partner schools in the Isleworth 390 project.
2014 Parade
On Remembrance Sunday last November, as part of the whole school’s activities for the First World War Centenary, children in Years 5 and 6 had the opportunity to be part of the Isleworth 390 parade. This was co-ordinated by the Isleworth Society and the British Legion and involved local children in commemorating the sacrifice of the 390 men whose names appear on the Isleworth War Memorial.
90 children from each of three secondary schools (The Green School, Gumley and Isleworth and Syon) and 30 children from each of four primary schools (The Blue School, St. Mary’s, Worple and ourselves) took part in the annual parade to and from Memorial Square and participated in a short service whilst there. Each child wore a sash bearing the name of one of the 390 men named on the Memorial.
