In English this half term, we are reading 'Varjak Paw' by S F Said as a whole class text. We are using this text as a springboard for discussion and role-play. In addition to this we are also producing writing in the form of balanced arguments, poetry and narratives.
In Maths we have been learning about different types of triangles and quadrilaterals, as well as ways to sort and organise them. We have also been developing sufficient mental strategies to solve problems involving money and measure.
Our IPC topic this half term has been looking at life in Ancient Egypt. We have been learning how to read and write hieroglyphics about the gods of Ancient Egypt.
During our first half term in Science, we have been learning about Sound. We are developing our understanding of how sounds are made (linking them to vibrations) as well as finding patterns between pitch/volume and sound.
