Rabbit
Welcome to Rabbit Class .
We have settled into our new class and are enjoying being Rabbits in Year 1.
Our teacher is Mrs Sketchley and our Teaching assistant is Miss Chappell.
We have started the year in a creative burst by taking part in Isleworth Town 'Take One Picture'. The Year One classes based all of the work around the famous painting 'Tiger in a Tropical Storm' by the artist Henri Rousseau.
We have read the story called, The Tiger That Came To Tea by Judith Kerr. In creative writing we thought of what the tiger might say if we met him. We did this by writing in speech bubbles and we made lists of who might come to our front door.
In maths we did some problem solving, we made different types of paper sandwiches using 4 fillings, and measured tigers and put them into order of size.
In art we created our own version of A Tiger in a Tropical Storm. Come and see it on the building boards.
We iced cakes fit for a tea party and made tiger masks.
Finally we used the internet to research fun facts about tigers and a little bit about rainforests. And that was all in one week. WOW!
