Curriculum
"The many exciting clubs, trips and activities provided capture the pupils' imagination and extend their horizons." - Ofsted
"A strength of the school is the richness of the wider curriculum." - Peer Challenge Report, May 2019
We offer a broad curriculum which includes all National Curriculum subjects. There are many enrichment opportunities planned into the curriculum and the children make regular visits to galleries, theatres, museums, and sporting venues. We also have frequent visitors to school throughout the year and these enrich and enhance the learning experience within classrooms.
The school uses a thematic approach for the foundation subjects and some science topics. We believe that this gives our children the opportunity to put their learning into context and to make the links between different areas of the curriculum.
We are proud of our musical tradition and ensure that the children have the option to learn a wide range of instruments, sing in the school choir or join the school orchestra.
