During the spring term in English, we will be reading Varjak Paw by SF Said and The Firework Maker's Daughter by Philip Pullman. We will use these texts as a stimulus for balanced arguments,free verse poetry, narrative story writing, explanation text and drama.
Over the course of this term we will be learning equivalent fractions, decimals and short method for multiplication and division. We are trying to learn all our times tables at the moment. It is really important that we practice!
In science we have been learning about sound and the ear. Our topics this term are Temples, Tombs and treasures where we focus on Ancient Egypt. We will then move onto Saving The World which will focus on researching tropical rainforests. We will visit Kew Gardens as part of our topic.
