What is Collabor8?

 

Collabor8 is a partnership between 8 central Hounslow schools. The schools work together on a number of projects to help develop the schools and build community links.

 

As part of the partnership pupils get the opportunity to take part in projects initiated by Collabor8. So far this year some year 2 children have visited other schools on a C8 writing day to develop enthusiasm for writing. Another group of children from year 3 went on a maths day to develop their maths skills. After Christmas children will be taking part in a Collabor8 writing competition. In the past the competition has inspired children to develop their writing . We will also be hosting the annual school council conference in which children from the school councils of all 8 schools meet and share ideas.

 

Teachers have also been working collaboratively sharing good practice and developing new ideas. Co-ordinators from each school have met in subject groups to share ideas and plan future developments. Teachers find these networking opportunities very supportive and inspirational.
