Autumn Term 2015

LET'S CELEBRATE!

In the second part of the Autumn term we learnt about lots of different religions and the different ways that people celebrate.  We have identified many similarities between different celebrations.  We found that people usually dress in their finest clothes, celebrations are usually colourful and people usually sing or dance.  There is usually delicious food involved too!  We have been practising so hard for our Christmas production of 'Hey Ewe!' and we can't wait to share it with you!

Take a look at some of the things we have been up to so far this term:

Here is us in our costumes for our wonderful Christmas production: Hey Ewe!

Christmas parties! Yum yum!

A special visitor came to model how electricity flows round a circuit. Here are some stages of our human circuit!

Electricity: We learnt about circuits, how to make a simple circuit and what happens when there is a break in a circuit.

SENSATIONAL!

In the first part of this Autumn term we learn about our five senses and how our body uses each sense.  We think about what it would be like to lose one or more of our senses - we have some special visitors coming into school to help us with this.  In literacy we use our senses to add description to our writing.  We will be using similes and adjectives to further improve our writing as well as reading and writing poetry.

Can you name our 5 senses?
