It's Summer Term!
Finally we can look forward to the long, sunny days (hopefully)!
Our topic this term is 'Insects and Flowers', therefore Robin class have got 2 grass heads and some caterpillars to watch grow. We are completing caterpillar diaries to record our observations, which is great fun! We have been looking at the artist William Morris, and using his famous prints to create symmetrical patterns for our butterflies.
In maths we have been learning about inverse operations and multiplication, we are hoping to move on to division soon!
In English we have started our Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation lessons (SPAG). We have been learning about plurals, and prefixes which the children have been working very hard on! This week we have also been looking at the story Aaaarrgghh Spider! By Lydia Monks, we are really enjoying this book and have used Lydia Monks style of writing to create our own page for the story.
The term has kicked off to a great start! Let the fun continue!
